Colour scheme....& Branding

I have been looking into creating a brand that reflects the Art Deco era but with a fresh modern feel. I have same up with the word GEM as it reflects the natural stone used and based on, also the stone like form taken from a chrysalis hanging in nature.

I came across this girl painted and clothed in the colour scheme I'm looking to use. I feel the purple is quite intense and i may try using a navy hue instead.
